HOW YOU DO ONE THING IS HOW YOU DO EVERYTHING
Peace world! How’s everyone? I’ve recently implemented a new way of doing things when it comes to productivity. About a month ago I came about a podcast where they were talking about Steve Jobs’ way of doing business. What he used to do is what he called the “signal to noise” ratio. In principle, it’s about defining 3 to 5 tasks each day, which are crucial to reaching your goals, and to deliver on those tasks no matter what. Those tasks are called signals. Noise on the other hand, is everything that is keeping you from successfully completing those tasks, and being able to spot the noise is key. Ever since I started applying this principle, my productivity skyrocketed. I believe in the 100% rule, meaning when you do something, you do it to the max. Because only then will you see progress. As an independent artist, you’re often forced to do a lot of things by yourself, which results in a high workload. And having a certain structure every day is extremely helpful to keep track of what it is that needs to be done. In the end, how do you one thing is how you do everything. LIFE'S BEEN LIFING
Ay world! How’s everyone? Man, you know how like sometimes you have all these plans and things you want to do and all of a sudden life gets in the way and gives you a set of challenges just to help you refocus on what’s really important? Well, in a nutshell, that’s what pretty much happened these past two weeks. Not to make this any longer than it needs to be but last week, my girl had to get knee surgery, and it was just overall tough to witness. She’s a dancer, and knowing that she’ll not be able to attend dance classes for roughly a year due to the recovery period after the surgery took a heavy toll on her, especially emotionally. And it really put things into perspective for me. Besides being there for her and supporting her through the process and the months ahead, I really had to take some time to let it all sink in. Life is fragile man, and we often go through life feeling invincible, until something throws you off balance. I believe that the universe is constantly communicating with us. And if you’ll dare to listen, there’s a transmission of unmeasurable wisdom that’s being given to us. I’m still processing it all, but in an interesting way this whole thing gave me even more strength and drive to pursue my life goals. But at the same time, it also pushed me to focus more on what’s really relevant, and that’s physical and mental health and being able to travel through space and time, seeing and experiencing everything that this world has to offer whilst enjoying life to the fullest. Man, sometimes you really have to slow down, look up and watch the clouds go by. So, what I’m trying to tell you is this: take care of yourself every now and again, recenter, refocus, look after your health, protect your energy and your peace, at all times, because you’ll need it to chase these dreams! I STARTED VLOGGING ON YOUTUBE CAUSE WHY NOT?
Peace world! If you’re reading this, I want to thank you. Not sure how you got here but I’m just happy that you did. I’m back with a quick update about what’s been going on this week. One important topic that I want to address is the fact that I uploaded my fist YouTube vlog. Never thought that one day I’d be vlogging on YouTube but some of you had been reaching out wanting to know more about my daily life as an artist on this journey towards my goals so I though I might as well start somewhere. I’m well aware that as a musical artist it’s not enough to simply release music, and that these days it’s more important to build a connection with your favourite artist than ever. This is why I decided to offer more behind-the-scenes looks as I’m continuing to establish a career in the music space. Can’t lie, vlogging ain’t easy and it’s been a challenge to hit that upload button because often I wonder “yo who cares about it anyways”. But I’m super proud of myself that I did, and even if only two people watch it, I’m sure there’s going to be someone that draws inspiration from the things that I do, and that’s really all that matters. FIGURING THINGS OUT
Top of the morning world. As I’m writing this, it’s Sunday, 10 am. It’s a sunny day on this side of the Atlantic and I’ve been feeling energized lately. So let’s get to this blog article. A few days ago I had a lengthy conversation with an artist friend of mine, which inspired me to write this piece that you’re about to read. The truth is, we’re all just trying to figure things out as we go. I’m convinced that nobody really knows what they’re actually doing. Life is complicated and there’s a multitude of variables that can have unforeseen impacts on your life. Have you ever heard the saying “If you want to make god laugh, tell him or her your plans!”. This is a pretty accurate description of life, if you ask me. Since I started this musical journey, I had to learn the hard way that things rarely pan out the way you want them to, and that doesn’t just go for music, that goes for all aspects of life. So, knowing that, why are we always so worried about outcomes? Why do we always care about what other people think when everyone else got their hands full figuring things out? We are all just trying to make the best with what we’ve got. With the internet and social media it’s hard to try to navigate expert opinions because everyone seems to be an expert these days, in whatever field you can come up with. Also, everyone seems to have an opinion on something. What you need to know is that it’s all a pile of crap. There’s no such thing as experts, there’s only action, failure, learning and adaptation. We’re all struggling to figure out life, and that’s what makes it so exciting. Accept that fact that you don’t know shit and just do what it is your heart tells you. The path will become visible once you fall in love with trial and error, trust me. PEACE

I’m not going to pretend like there’s some super deep meaning in the lyrics, but I can definitely tell you about the mood that I was in when I was writing the record. As per usual, I made the beat first, and the whole vibe of the beat gave me a feeling of determination and grit. Essentially, beneath the metaphors and the madness, it’s about taking back control. About owning your voice, your pen, your pace & your freedom. I always had a passion for lyricism, although as a producer I love venturing off into different sonic landscapes. NOBODY CARES, UNTIL SOMEBODY CARES, AND THEN EVERYBODY CARES.
Peace world. It’s another Sunday and once again I woke up with some ideas, not sure where I pick them up man, all I know is that they’re here now and I have to channel them in some form or fashion. I’ve been having this reoccurring thought as of late: “Nobody cares, until somebody cares and then everybody cares”. I’ve seen it happen so many times that there must be a truth in the thought. I’m guessing it’s a harsh truth most creators have to sit with. You pour your heart into something — a song, a video, an idea — and release it into the world… and nothing happens. No applause. No DMs. No reposts. Just silence. But here’s the thing: that silence doesn’t mean it’s not good. It just means the spark hasn’t caught yet. Eventually, someone is going to notice. You’ll just never know when, and who it is, but somebody will. Maybe it’s a comment. A message. A follower who really gets what you’re doing. And suddenly, the energy shifts. That one person turns into two, into five, into a small group that feels like a secret. And people start paying attention — not because your work changed overnight, but because someone else gave it value first. Because someone cared. I never cared much about co-signs but I’m beginning to understand that it’s all just a branding issue. All it takes is that one key individual to make a difference. That’s the weird truth about the internet and culture in general. We see it all the time — underground artists go from 2,000 plays to viral in a week. Not because they suddenly became better, but because belief is contagious. Attention snowballs. And once the crowd sees people gathering around something, they want in on it too. What I’m really trying to say is the following: Don’t be discouraged when it feels like nobody is listening or watching. That’s the beginning of every great story. Just keep showing up…
THE SCHOOL DAYS OF LYRIC WRITING
Yo yo, whaddup guys? So, a few weeks ago, I got the opportunity to teach a class at a high school a few miles from where I live. A teacher had reached out to me telling me about a project week that they were about to have, evolving around songwriting, more specifically, creative and lyric writing. I got to say I’ve really had a blast teaching said class, I always loved seeing talent emerge out of thin air. Seeing those students writing their own raps made me think back to when I started picking up the pen and write my first rhyme. I started playing the flute & piano when I was 6 years old, then started producing when I was about 11 because that’s when I got my first Synthesizer. Shortly after, at the age of 12, I started writing my first bars and I didn’t stop every since. Not going to lie, it’s been a long journey, but you know what they say: The journey is the reward. We’re often focused on results & goals, forgetting why we’ve started doing what we’re doing. It all begins with falling in love with something that feeds our souls. If we lose that love and we’re solely focused on results, down the line you’re going to give up, because sometimes that path is a long one. You really got to fall in love with the process, not the destination. Anyways, just wanted to share this with you guys hoping it’ll inspire you to keep going no matter what. Ay gang, first off, happy Sunday! So I just got back from the gym and my mind has been exploding with ideas to write about. But, since you guys got a life, and I got a music content shoot to go to, ain’t nobody got time to read through a New York Times Bestseller. I will definitely write a book one day but that time is not now. So, here’s the thing, the world has been changing super fast these past couple of months. I mean just look at how AI has slowly started to penetrate our daily lives and for my part, I’ve been using AI a lot, especially for my own business. As an up-and-coming, independent artist I don’t have the resources to employ a huge team of people to get things done on my behalf, that’s where AI comes in. I’ve literally been using AI as an assistant, a marketing expert, a legal counsel and a manager. But here’s the thing, no matter how many tools I’ve been using, my own creativity and vision have always been the most important requirement in everything I do. I’m well aware that AI is most likely going to have a huge impact on the workforce in the near future, but I also believe it represents a great opportunity for those of us who have vision. We can now become our own CEOs and really do our own thing. Now this might sound spoken through rose-tinted glasses but I really believe that if you have a specific skill or a specific talent, now is the time to execute on that talent and not let it go to waste. Because now, for the first time ever, the tools and technologies are at our disposal. I’m convinced that the world belongs to those who do things out of the box whilst honing in on their skills and talents. Creativity, vision and courage cannot be taught, these traits have to be developed from within, by fearlessly following your most inner calling, in the words of Kendrick, the heart.
